The Dresden City Museum is located just a few metres from the Dresden Frauenkirche in the historic Landhaus.
The permanent exhibition presents over 1,000 exhibits in three halls. More than 20 media stations and many educational programmes create various opportunities to learn about 800 years of Dresden's history. Numerous film installations and a small cinema show how the city has changed over the past century.
There is an extensive range of guided tours for all age groups, especially for educational organisations and youth trips. In addition to overview and themed tours, the entire diversity of the permanent exhibition is shown. The tour lasts approx. 60-90 minutes. We are happy to take your special wishes into account.
