We cordially invite educators from day-care centres and preschools to our further training course at the Stadtmuseum and the Städtische Galerie im Landhaus. We would like to present four daycare centre offers on this morning. Two of the programmes were developed and tested together with cooperating daycare centres.

In short presentations and workshops, we will introduce you to our early childhood programmes and provide insights into their development, content and methods.

You can also try out artistic techniques and materials and network with other educational institutions and the museums of the city of Dresden.

We look forward to a collegial exchange!

  • Duration: 4 h
  • The training course can also be booked as an in-house event on other dateson request

Stone on stone

The "Stone on Stone" programme invites children of kindergarten age to engage with architecture in a playful way. The focus is on their own living environment as well as the Landhaus and other famous city landmarks (e.g. the Semper Opera House or Frauenkirche).

Discover Dresden's treasures

In the City Museum's interactive tour "Discovering Dresden's Treasures", we explore the question together with the children: What are treasures anyway? What treasures does the museum have and why are they so valuable?

AI generated: Several children and two adults sit around a large plan or diagram and discuss it together. It appears to be a group activity or teaching situation.

Come discover art

"Come and discover art" is a programme specially developed by children for children aged four and over. Together they learn about art in a playful way in the Städtische Galerie's permanent exhibition. In at least four interrelated modules, the children discover the museum as an experiential space and focus on the main themes of "Animals", "Seasons" and "Colours and Feelings".

AI generated: The image shows a group of children sitting in front of a work of art in a museum or gallery and listening to or looking at it attentively. An adult is standing next to them and appears to be explaining something to them.

Colour changeplay of colours

The Städtische Galerie's "Colour Change - Colour Play" workshop playfully invites children to discover colours in the works in the collection and then get creative themselves in our workshop.
