What role did Jewish citizens play in the economic life of our city? How did they shape trade, finance and industry during the German Empire and the Weimar Republic?
Selected objects from our depot, which are now being shown in a new context, shed light on the contribution of Jewish factory owners, bankers and businessmen to Dresden's economic development and tell of a life that was firmly anchored in the centre of society.
The tour takes place in the museum café - with a view of the new acquisitions showcase. Small snacks are available; coffee can be obtained from the vending machine if required. In this relaxed setting, the city museum is establishing a new tour format that allows visitors to experience history through dialogue.
